Cash Throwing & Tipping
We love stripper culture. We don't love watching it get treated like a costume.
At Midnight SINdicate, we recognize that much of what we celebrate in pole dance, sensual movement and performance artistry has deep roots in strip clubs and the labor of sex workers. We believe in honoring those origins, not appropriating them for aesthetics while ignoring the people who built the culture.
For that reason, throwing cash onto the stage or performance area is strictly prohibited at our productions.
In strip clubs, making it rain isn't just a cute visual or a fun way to hype up a performer. It's part of an established tipping culture tied directly to the labor, livelihood and working environment of strippers.
When that practice is recreated in a theatrical or recreational pole setting without the same context, it can cross the line from appreciation into imitation. It reduces an important part of stripper culture to a novelty, allowing people to play stripper for a night without acknowledging the stigma, discrimination, and challenges actual strippers face.
Stripper culture is not a costume, and sex work is not an aesthetic.
We can celebrate the artistry, sensuality, and influence of strippers without pretending that every pole performance is a strip club experience.
This policy is not about discouraging audience enthusiasm or financial support for our artists. We absolutely encourage both! Our performers are compensated for their work, and when additional tipping opportunities are available, we will provide appropriate ways to show your appreciation.
Our policy is rooted in cultural respect, artistic integrity, and a commitment to giving credit where it's due.
You can love stripper culture without cosplaying a stripper. Give credit. Show respect. And leave the cash throwing at the club.

Reports will be handled as discreetly as reasonably possible, and retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith is prohibited.
We take all reports seriously and will respond appropriately based on the circumstances.
